Hunger helps us make sure that we consume enough calories for our needs. It is a very important feature of our our bodies. However, hunger works against us when we are trying to lose weight. Weight could easily be dropped by eating less, but the less we eat or the longer we go without eating, the hungrier we get and then once we start to eat it takes longer for the hungry feeling to go away. So when we are really hungry when we start to eat something, there is a better chance that we will overeat, and consuming those extra Calories does nothing but slow down or reverse our weight loss.

In conclusion, the only way to end hunger is to eat. However, some foods are a lot better at satisfying hunger.A baked potato will fill you up better and faster than some candy even though they could both have the same number of Calories.
